UK, Beeston: 419-apartment student scheme changes hands

A major student accommodation scheme in the Nottinghamshire suburb of Beeston has changed hands. Cassidy Group has bought The Square scheme, which has planning consent for 419 studio apartments, from Monk Estates and William May Developments for an undisclosed sum.

UK, London: Midgard to build £250 million student towers

Midgard has been appointed by developer Urbanest to deliver the largest purpose-built student accommodation PBSA scheme in Europe. The £250 million trio of towers next to Billingsgate Market in Docklands will also become Europe’s largest Passivhaus development. The scheme will deliver 1,672 student beds and 80 residential apartments for students of University College London (UCL).

Domicil Real Estate AG had already purchased micro-apartment portfolio and placed the rental focus on students and young professionals. 11 of the 13 objects held by the PFA will be named 'elevon' with total of 1400 apartments.

UK, Midlands: HGP invests €21m in resi schemes in Midlands

Housing Growth Partnership has invested c. €20.7m of equity across seven housing schemes in the Midlands since the start of 2023. HGP’s investment, alongside a diverse mix of established, local housebuilders, will enable the accelerated delivery of 557 much-needed for-sale and for-rent apartments.
