UK, London: Green light for final elements of Olympic village development

The N18 and N19 buildings will provide a total of 848 new rental homes, while N16 provides 504 students homes, 35% of which will be “affordable”, along with a new space for independent retailers. Thew new student homes respond to a growing need for student housing in Newham, which currently has a 3,700-student bed shortage, and Get Living has partnered with the London College of Fashion for more than half of N16’s new homes.

Germany, Ansbach: Milchhof area becomes the Ansbach-Carré

A good 220 new apartments are now being built in Ansbach. The state housing company BayernHeim GmbH has started construction work on the so-called Milchhof area. The Ansbach-Carré should be finished in just under three years. Almost half will be high-quality subsidized apartments, plus a good 80 student apartments and 4 commercial units, reports BayernHeim.

Netherlands, Amsterdam: Altera acquires 225 homes in Amsterdam's new district

Altera Vastgoed has signed a deal to acquire 225 rental homes within the De Pionier mixed-use project in Amsterdam, 175 of which are in the mid-rental segment and the other 50 in the private sector.

UK, Cardiff: Rightacres and Knight Frank launch £100m Cardiff BTR opportunity

Knight Frank has launched a £100m Build to Rent development opportunity in Cardiff city centre. The 0.52-acre site, currently known as ‘Plot 5’ has planning permission for 364 residential units over 35-storeys.

abrdn Investments Deutschland AG celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the residential towers at Frankfurt's Sommerhoffpark. The two towers comprise a total of 127 apartments, which will be rented out by abrdn after completion.

Work began at 56 avenue des Pyrénées. The Maison Guitard senior residence is a project to build 85 one- to three-bedroom apartments with 25 parking spaces and a bicycle room in the basement. The residence will be delivered during the 4th quarter of 2024.

Germany, Schaafheim: Schaafheim gets a care home with a nursing home

In Schaafheim, between Babenhäuser Strasse and Heerweg, a residence for the elderly will be built with 81 care rooms and 24 assisted living apartments. Work is due to start in the fourth quarter of this year and it will take approximately two years from then until the property is ready for occupancy.

Spain, Guadalajara: The regional government finances almost 1,500 public places in residences and city day centers and 177 homes for the elderly with a sum of 17.2 million euros

The regional government is funding 1,472 public places in residences and day centers owned by municipalities, as well as 177 homes for the elderly through a call for grants to local entities. Among them is the one in Cifuentes, where his 10-bed community home for seniors receives 28,000 euros from this call for funding. A total of 912 public places in 52 residences, 560 places in 36 day care centers and 177 municipal homes for the elderly are financed by this call.

Germany: Emvia hands over locations to Specht

The French credit fund Ardian apparently wants to take over the nursing home operator Emvia Living, according to information from the Federal Cartel Office. In the meantime, some Emvia locations have switched to the Specht Group.
