US, Columbia: Inland Acquisitions Buys 673-Bed Student Housing Community Near University of South Carolina

Germany: 500 apartments planned in two 60-meter high-rise buildings

UK: Starlight appoints Rund for three more BTR schemes

Rund is providing pre- and post-contract technical due diligence, principal consultant and clerk of works services on BTR schemes in Manchester and Basildon worth more than £500 MLN. The appointment represents repeat business for Rund, which is already working for Starlight on four of its other UK investments. The first Manchester BTR development is Trinity Island, a 60-storey, 532-unit residential tower currently under construction in the Castlefield conservation area on the bank of the River Irwell. The second Manchester property is a 40-storey, 517-unit residential block in the Greengate neighbourhood.

US: JLL and HJ Sims secure $473M tax-exempt and taxable bond financing to facilitate California seniors housing rental development

JLL‘s Capital Markets group and HJ Sims announced today that they have arranged $473 million in tax exempt and taxable bond financing for the ground-up development of The James, a luxury rental, 350-bed seniors housing community in Irvine, California, which is the largest tax-exempt senior living financing of the year and largest non-profit single-site senior living bond issue in history.
