Greece: Rising Rents in Greece Hit Students as University Admissions Near

According to Spitogatos real estate data, the average rent for student accommodation in Attica is €10.80 per square metre per month. In Athens, the most affordable areas include Nikaia, Kypseli, Patission and Acharnon streets, while Kolonaki, Lycabettus, Koukaki, and Makriyianni boast the highest rents. A studio in Nikaia costs around €400, and a small apartment in Zografou averages €516. Central Athens and Mets have experienced significant rent increases.

Caldwell Communities has already begun construction on the planned 204 single-family homes that will be located across from Oakcrest Intermediate School at 18131 Bluegrass Park Lane. Preleasing is scheduled to start sometime in the third quarter of this year, according to a report by the Houston Business Journal. Leasing rates for homes ranging from 1,000 to 1,700 square feet will range from $2,300 to $3,400.
