Investment platform Urban Partners has raised €3.65 billion for investments in its Northern European real estate business Nordic Real Estate Partners (NREP). According to the company, the new "NSF V" is the largest European value-add real estate fund to date. For Germany, the investment capacity increases to up to €1 billion. The first investment was made here as part of a long-term joint venture with the Artisa Group, which plans to build 5,000 co-living apartments by 2025.

Germany, Schkeuditz: Five Quarters buys a retirement home in Schkeuditz, Saxony

Hamburg real estate company Five Quarters Real Estate AG | 5QRE continues its investment course. The purchase contract for the construction of a nursing home in Schkeuditz, Saxony, was concluded for the "5QRE Healthcare Infrastructure Deutschland 01" fund. The facility will have 120 single rooms and construction will begin in the summer of 2023. The new nursing home in Schkeuditz is located in the immediate vicinity of a 150-bed acute care complex and in the catchment area of the largest cities in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, Leipzig and Halle/Saale.

US, Scio Township: A plan for over 100 acres near Baker and Marshall Roads in Scio Township is moving forward

A development planned along Baker Road in Scio Township, which is proposing 149 attached residential units, 82 duplex units and an 85,035 square feet senior adult living facility, received approval for its PUD final site plan. There are three parcels involved and three addresses for the overall land in question: 621 Baker Road and 7777 and 7673 Marshall Road. Senior adult living facility building containing the following: Nursing Home (skilled care): 42 single rooms; 4 double rooms – 50 beds, Home for the Aged (assisted living): 15 single rooms; 4 double rooms – 23 beds, Home for the Aged (memory care): 12 single rooms; 3 double rooms – 18 beds, Independent Living: 19 one-bedroom apartments; 1 two-bedroom apartment; 5 studio apartments – 26 beds.

US, Hawaii: Waikoloa Vacation Rentals to Build Affordable Housing in Hawaii Resort

Waikoloa Vacation Rentals plans to build Ho’omalu at Waikoloa Beach Resort, a 229-unit affordable housing project in Waikoloa, Hawaii, catering to residents earning between 30 and 100 percent of the area median income. Construction is slated to begin later this year or in 2024. Upon completion, the first affordable housing community in a Big Island resort will incorporate one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Common-area amenities will include a swimming pool, a fitness center, a community center, a daycare with a Hawaiian education theme and barbeque areas.

Switzerland, Lausen: UBS Anfos fund with higher rental income

UBS (CH) Property Fund – Swiss Residential "Anfos" increased rental income by CHF 1.8 million to CHF 65.2 million in the first half of 2022/23. This was contributed by the decrease in the rent default rate from 4.3 to 3.6%. During the first half of the year, the fund acquired the "Dreiklang" new building project for apartments for seniors in Lausanne (BL). The project, with an investment volume of around CHF 44 million, includes four stand-alone buildings with a total of 34 apartments for the elderly, 40 nursing rooms, operating and restaurant areas and 60 parking spaces.
