Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, is one of Europe’s most sought-after study destinations for both local and international students. With a wide range of public and private higher education institutions, Amsterdam attracts a significant student population, with 133,843 students enrolled in the 2021/2022 academic year, including a notable 22,932 international students.
Like other cities in BONARD’s City Webinar series, Amsterdam faces a considerable gap between the increasing demand for purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and the current supply. Student housing is expected to develop in Amsterdam through the expansion of key market players as well as the entry of new investors.
This session gave insights from industry insiders, provided strategic advice, and presented a comprehensive outlook on the future of PBSA in Amsterdam, offering valuable guidance for navigating this dynamic and evolving market.
