Samuel Vetrak, CEO of BONARD, presented highly-awaited global update on the latest trends, developments and opportunities in student housing, micro living and co-living.
Samuel presented the latest global student housing investment volumes reaching over 17bn EUR in 2018 as well as up-to-date international student numbers which are constantly growing and proving the counter-cyclical nature of student housing.
Further he provided an in-depth analysis of demand, supply, demand/supply dynamics, growth rates, number of existing as well as missing private PBSA beds, prices and rental levels, portfolios and pipeline which are all among key parameters when considering potential investment.
He further compared and identified trends and differences between student housing products in the US, UK, continental Europe and Australia. He has finally looked into what students want in PBSAs, drawing on the latest research findings of BONARD that regularly conducts student surveys asking customers for their living preferences.
His presentation was followed by panel session with industry experts Clare Thomas (CMS UK), Rainer Nonnengasser (International Campus), Dirk-Jan Doek (The Student Hotel) and Thibault Valla (La Salle IM).
The video from presentation and panel will be available herein in coming days.
