Baltic Real Estate Forum 2019
Vilnius, Latvia 16 – 17 May 2019
BONARD CEO Samuel Vetrak travelled to Vilnius, Lithuania to give a detailed update on student housing asset class focusing on Europe as study destination. Data collected showed not only customers’ preferences but also the trends in this field.
Many European cities are undersupplied, even the larger ones, said Samuel. He pointed to Italy and Germany, e.g. Berlin. In order to be able to give a complex picture, Samuel provided an insight into the global student market and the numbers of international students as well as the supply/demand dynamics. Pipeline, missing stock and most preferred amenities rounded up the market update.
How attractive is Europe as study destination? What measures are taken to make it even more popular? Which cities and universities can enrol the highest number of international students? Is there any difference between the US and European concept? This and much more was answered in Samuel’s speech.
